AgTech Division

Under Genting Plantations Bhd (GENP)’s initiative to transform the core agribusiness through breakthrough innovation and new technologies, the Biotechnology Division has been expanded and renamed as AgTech Division.
With the adoption of big data, genomics-based solutions, artificial intelligence (“AI”) and precision agriculture, the AgTech Division is envisaged to provide total solutions and services to GENP’s core agribusiness in optimising yield, improving operating efficiency, enabling traceability and enhancing sustainability.
The AgTech Division comprises ACGT Sdn Bhd (“ACGT”), Genting AgTech Sdn Bhd (“GAT”) and Genting Green Sdn Bhd. ACGT and GAT were accorded BioNexus status by the Malaysian Biotechnology Corporation Sdn Bhd (now known as BioEconomy Corporation) in 2006 and 2009 respectively.
Building on the strong foundation of genomic research, ACGT adopts cutting-edge technologies to drive innovation throughout its R&D pipeline, developing solutions to enhance value creation for oil palm and other crops.
Envisaged to be oil palm seed producer empowered by intellectual property and technological advancement from ACGT to develop next generation high-value planting materials for optimal harvest and quality in addressing the challenging environmental conditions.
Genting Green aspires to be an innovative vegetable and fruit seed producer as well as premium harvest by leveraging on the control environment and sustainable agriculture.
